Come out and
We have been
opening trails at a furious pace! The Highlands opened this week (Upper Cliff,
Lower Turkey, Hydraulic and Logger's Alley), plus Upper and Lower Sunrise,
Tequila, Lower Diamond Hill, and all of Tyro!
We are currently making snow on Upper Diamond Hill. The forecast looks excellent for continued snowmaking over the next week. Thank you snowmakers! Go SNOWPOWER!Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Tuesday, January 02, 2018
We're open daily 9 am-9 pm for lots of skiing, riding and
tubing, and for added excitement, The Highlands open today! Come out and get fresh turns on Upper Cliffhanger, Lower Wild Turkey, and Hydraulic.
We’re in the midst of a nice long run of snowmaking temps, so we’ll continue building our base as we work to open more terrain. Upper Sunrise opens tomorrow and we are hoping to be able to open Lower Diamond Hill and Loggers Alley tomorrow also. Go SNOWPOWER!Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Thursday, December 28, 2017
The gifts are unwrapped, now it's time to hit the slopes. We're open daily 9 am-9 pm for lots of skiing, riding and tubing! And the big news is... (drumroll, please!) The Highlands open Thursday!
Spend time with family, friends, and the great outdoors, plus work off some of those holiday treats (or make room for more).
Christmas brought many gifts, including the return of SNOWPOWER. Slope surfaces are refreshed and making for great runs. We are currently making a lot of snow on The Highlands - Upper Cliffhanger, Lower Wild Turkey, and Hydraulic. Did we mention The Highlands will open Thursday?! The 10-day forecast shows nothing but freezing temps - so the future is looking really bright!
Speaking of bright, if you've never seen FIREWORKS over the slopes, you should come up for New Year's Eve. The sight of our beautiful snowy mountain lit up by sparkling fireworks is an unforgettable sight.
The fireworks start at 10 pm, but we've got Skiing, Snowboarding, and Tubing, different parties to fit everybody's style, Live Music, and FIREWORKS!

Temps are dropping and Santa is coming. We're all getting an amazing Christmas present this year - SNOWPOWER returns tonight to refresh the surfaces and work on The Highlands and Lower Diamond!
When we said temps are dropping and Santa is coming, we meant that literally. Before Santa embarks on his yearly trip around the globe, he'll make a special stop on our slopes. Today, December 24, from 12-2 pm, Jolly Old St Nick will be cruising around the slopes with Christmas cheer and candy!
With snowmaking returning tonight, we'll be working hard to open The Highlands as soon as possible. There's even the possibility for some natural snow tonight. We don't expect much accumulation, but even flurries are a great way to celebrate Christmas. Looking farther ahead in the forecast, there's the possibility for up to 5" of snow on Friday. That means we could have POWDER next weekend!
Merry Christmas, everyone! Wishing you all the joy, hope and MAGIC of the season! Check out this timelapse video from the first few days of snowmaking this season.

Thanks to everyone who came out last weekend to kick off the season! We opened with 7 trails and by the second day we were already at 10 trails. Those trails are holding strong with a deep base while we recharge the system and wait for temps to drop again.
Forecast shows a chance for a bit of snowmaking tonight. But either way, it looks like we made it to Santa's nice list this year and we'll have a great present on Christmas - the return of SNOWPOWER! We've already made some snow on The Highlands, and we'll be going back to start finishing trails and opening new terrain as soon as possible. Stay tuned to The Blog for updates.

Last night we fired up SNOWPOWER at 6:43 pm and have been
pumping snow onto the slopes ever since! We’re lucky to have a great snowmaking
forecast for the foreseeable future: freezing or near-freezing temps both day
and night. Rest assured, we will be making snow at every possible opportunity!
Our snowmakers are the best. Lots of people think of SNOWPOWER
as just the snowmaking system, but it’s also the people. Snowmakers, mechanics,
everyone who helps us get ready for the busy winter season, all of our friends, family and fans who come enjoy the snow – they’re
all a big part of SNOWPOWER. Go SNOWPOWER, Go!
The big announcement is: projected opening day is December 15!
We are focusing on laying down a quality base on our core
slopes and making sure that we have a strong opening with great conditions. How
many slopes does that mean? We’re not sure yet, but we’ll keep you up to date
on this blog and on social media. Do you follow us on Facebook? We posted
several live videos
last night of the beginning of snowmaking. Look for more awesome updates like
that in the future!
This year we asked Santa to bring lots of great skiing,
riding, and tubing for Christmas, and we think we made his “Nice” list!
After we open with core slopes, we hope to open tubing
the weekend before Christmas, and we hope to open The Highlands during the
Christmas holiday period.
So wax up your skis and boards and get ready to slide –
the time is coming soon!
