Hours:  9am-9pm

Rates:  20% off midweek rates today.

Open Trails:  8 trails open - Upper Dobie, Lower Dobie, Eagles Swoop, both Cross Trails, Tequila, Lower Sunrise and the upper portion of our Terrain Park.

Lifts:  2 lifts open – Blue Ridge Express and Big Acorn

Surface:  20-30 inch machine groomed base

Terrain Park:  The upper portion of the Terrain Park is open with 9 features – 20ft down donkey rail, 30ft flat pipe, 20ft down rail, elbow kink, big flat down rail set up for side entry, down tank, small flat box, small down box, disco box, “A” frame box, 10ft pipe and a pole jam.

Tubing:  CLOSED – re-opening Friday with sessions from 1:30pm until 10pm.  Sessions often sell out purchase in advance here:

Snowmaking:  Snowmaking efforts resumed overnight a current temp of around 23 degrees at the ski area.  If we shut down during the day, we will fire back up tonight and keep at it.  A small portion of our snowmaking capacity is focused on currently open terrain.  EVERYTHING else is going to Upper Cliffhanger, Hydraulic, Lower Wild Turkey and Tyro.  The overall weather pattern is OK with Normal and below normal temps expected to arrive around Christmas Day.  The forecasts suggests a very active Christmas week with lots of snowmaking, near constant trail openings and GREAT snow conditions.  We are right where we need to be to have a great Holiday.

Highlands:  More than 60% complete with every gun running from top to bottom.  Opening day is looking like Sunday… check tomorrow’s Blog for an update on our progress.

Demo Day – Freestyle will sponsor an Industry Demo at the Discovery Ridge Parking Lot on Saturday from 9am-until 3pm – Reps include: Head, Rossignol, Volkl, Ride, K2, Dynastar, Blizzard, Nordica, Never Summer and Burton.  Come make turns on the newest and best products.
