Top 10 Reasons Kids Love Discovery Ridge Adventure Center

Discovery Ridge Adventure Center, also known as DRAC, is where your family vacation begins. With indoor and outdoor activities for all ages, DRAC is at the center of active family fun. Here are the Top 10 Reasons Kids love DRAC!

  1. Indoor DRAC - Looking for fun on a rainy day or just more interested in indoor pursuits? DRAC has Kinect Systems, 8 Xbox 360s, 4 Nintnedo Wiis, 42-inch TVs and comfy game rocker chairs at every station, Theater showing sporting events and videos, Foosball, Pool Table, Air Hockey and more.
  2. Bounce Bot - Kick off your shoes (but keep on your socks) and jump and bounce on this indoor inflatable with a slide.
  3. Mini Golf - Challenge your family on this 18-hole course featuring a wooded playing area with trees, giant rocks, and native plants.
  4. Bungee Trampoline - Get acrobatic on this hybrid trampoline/bungee apparatus, enabling jumpers to reach heights of 25 feet and higher. Must be at least 35 pounds to participate.
  5. Archery - Be like Katniss Everdeen or Robin Hood! We recently expanded our recreational activities to include the sport of archery, and it was a huge success! The program is targeting archers ages eight and up and is a great family outing.
  6. The Mechanical Bull - For aspiring cowboys and cowgirls, or just anybody who's in the mood to give it a shot! Hang on tight!
  7. Summer Tubing - Imagine being on top of a ten story building and looking out over a hill that's longer than three football fields. Now imagine going downhill on a tube at speeds reaching 30 mph. That's The Plunge! Thrills and chills without the spills.
  8. The Zip - If you thought The Plunge was fast, try soaring down 900 feet with speeds approaching 40 mph. That's high flying thrills in under 30 seconds!
  9. Campfire and Stories - Summer weekends start with a campfire and storytelling at the DRAC firepit on Friday nights. Don't forget to bring the s'mores!
  10. Movies Under The Stars - Summer Saturdays feature an outdoor movie at Ridgely's Fun Park (across from DRAC). This weekend it's Eddie The Eagle, but it's always something the whole family will love. Cuddle up on a blanket, bring some lawn chairs, and enjoy!
