Wintergreen has joined the National Trail Day Celebration with the 2nd annual Hike Wintergreen. We have picked three diverse trails with varying levels of difficulty that will provide adventures for the novice hiker to the advanced trailblazer.
- 2.5 mile Cliffs Challenge - Guided hike for those able adventurers (10:30am start time)
- 6.5 mile Wintergreen Highland - On your own for this Intermediate Adventurers (9 am start)
- 14 mile Devils Walkabout - On your own for this advanced adventurer only trip

Register by May, 13th and you will receive a Hike Wintergreen t-shirt.
All hikes start from the Discovery Ridge Adventure Center.
Bonus adventure: 30 minute summer tubing session for June 1. Be sure to pick up your tickets at registration to get a time that works for you and your family. Tubing is limited to 25 people per session and is restricted to participants 42” or taller.
The Discovery Ridge Adventure Center will have a variety of drinks, sandwiches and snacks for purchase.
Discovery Ridge Adventure Center will be open from 10am – 6pm.
Zipline and Summer Tubing will be open 10:30am – 2:30pm.
Free Backpackers Magazine Seminar May 31
To round out the weekend, Wintergreen is partnering with The Nature Foundation and Backpackers Magazine's Get Out More Tour to offer inspiration and education on hiking and how to increase your enjoyment of the outdoors.
On Friday, May 31 at 7pm, join us at The Nature Foundation for a free 75 minute seminar presented by Backpacker's ambassadors, Randy and Sheri Propster. They will cover backpacking essentials, the latest in gear and apparel, survival skills and trail-tested tips. If the name Propster is familiar, you may recognize these smiling faces from all their years of service at Wintergreen.
Proceeds to benefit: Environmental Education Outreach Program for Nelson County Schools.
