International Cultural Exchange Program at Wintergreen Resort
Our international associate program is a great way to gain work experience, practice English skills and learn more about the American culture. We are proud to have such a diverse workforce; the cultural exchange program certainly makes us better as a company.
Wintergreen currently hires associates on the J1 Travel and Work Visa Program. In this program, the student comes during their university break for a period of 3-4 months to work in one of many positions at the resort. Students usually work in Ski Operations (Rental Shop, Ski Lifts, Tubing and Ski School) and also in Food and Beverage (cafeterias and restaurants).
The resort welcomes international staff throughout the year, but mostly during the winter season when approximately 10-15% of the entire resort staff consists of international associates. They are part of our core mid-week staff during this very busy time and their work is critical to the success of the resort.
All students must have an American sponsor company. We work with CCUSA for our J1 staffing needs. If you are interested in applying for a position, please contact CCUSA for more information about the program.
Here are some benefits we offer:
- On-mountain fully-furnished housing with utilities included in the rent and a coin-operated laundry facility located in the building
- Free resort activities: golf, ski sports, access to hiking trails, use of fitness center, swimming pools and Lake Monocan
- Discounts in restaurants, shops, lodging, spa treatments, golf and tennis lessons
