WINTERGREEN SPA DEBUTS EXCLUSIVE CORESTONES MASSAGE
WINTERGREEN,
Va. (November 22, 2011) – Wintergreen
Resort in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains is the first U.S. resort to
introduce CoreStones™ as a massage therapy option at its Wintergreen Spa.
The soapstone is quarried in Virginia and the CoreStones Massage
will be available to guests beginning in December 2011.
Innovative
and ergonomic, CoreStones are made from non-absorbent soapstone, nature’s best
thermal conductor. They maintain heat or cold longer than any other stone
and when applied to the skin, provide a silky, deep uniform pressure.
“The
cylindrically shaped stones are ideal for reflexology, trigger point therapy
and myofascial release,” says Wintergreen Spa director Matt Kennedy. “The
unique stones better allow the massage therapist to treat muscles with less
effort and facilitate a deeper release for the client without creating tissue
trauma.” Wintergreen Spa will offer a 75-minute CoreStones Massage on
weekdays for $150 and on weekends for $160.
CoreStones
were developed by Jessica Jones and Dale Montelione Grust, two experienced
massage therapists who were looking for a self-care tool and to help other
massage therapists save their hands while helping clients.
The
Wintergreen Spa and the Aquatics & Fitness Center offer a mountaintop
retreat from everyday life, a place to feel special, to pamper and restore the
body, release tension and renew the spirit. This is an idyllic setting for
strengthening the mind and body.
