Skiing and snowboarding can be a challenge, but anyone can slide. Make this year, the year you take The Plunge.
The Plunge is Virginia's largest tubing park. Imagine being on top of a ten story building and looking out over a hill that's longer than three football fields. Now imagine going downhill on a tube at speeds reaching 30 mph. That's The Plunge! Thrills and chills without the spills. To make it even easier, our conveyor lift will bring you and your tube comfortably and quickly back up the hill so you can do it again and again. Some of our guests call it the "scream machine" and we think you'll agree! It's just plain tubular fun.
For children, Ridgely's Fun Park also offers tubing, plus all kinds of snow play.
Tubers ready for a change of pace can take us up on our special Guaranteed Learn to Ski or Ride offer. Learn to Ski or Ride after your tubing session with your same day tubing ticket. You’ll receive a Guaranteed Learn to Ski or Ride 75-minute lesson and equipment rental for just $20! If you fall in love with skiing and snowboarding, which we think you will, you can upgrade your ticket and extend your equipment rental to ski or snowboard the rest of the day (fee applies to upgrade/extend).
So remember, while Wintergreen Resort is best known for great skiing and snowboarding, the screams of excitement you hear may be coming from our tubing parks. Because after all, anyone can slide!

The Plunge Snow Tubing Park
Recommended for ages 6 and up. You must be 42 inches or taller to ride The Plunge. One person per tube, but you may "hook" tubes together, conditions permitting. Click here to purchase tickets online.

Regular Season Rates:
- 2-hour session - $20 (midweek, non-holiday)
- 2-hour session - $28 (weekends and holiday periods)
End Of Season Discount Rates (Weekend of 3/16-17)
- 2-hour session - $20 (midweek rate for weekend tubing!)
Tubing Tickets
Tubing has become a very popular offering at Wintergreen and weekends and holidays frequently sell out. To reserve your tubing tickets for sessions during the next seven days online, please click here, or call us at 434-325-2100.
Snowtubing tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be purchased at The Discovery Ridge Adventure Center from 1-8 pm, Monday - Thursday, or directly at The Plunge Friday through Sunday. Click here to purchase tickets online
Please be aware that tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis.

On weekends, a free shuttle makes continuous runs from the Mountain Inn area and both the Wintergarden and Devils Knob Golf satellite parking areas.
Snowtubing Warning:
All guests participating in Snowtubing must agree to the following statement upon issuance of their tubing ticket:
"Snowtubing Involves risks and dangers. I understand that lane conditions vary constantly and that there are risks of high speed, collisions in and beyond the lane, leaving the lane and slipping and falling. I agree to tube only in my designated lane and only when released by an attendant. I understand and agree to remain aware of and avoid other tubers while exiting the tubing lanes. I accept responsibility for my own safety and assume all risks of injury, death or property damage. I also agree to follow all Wintergreen instructions. I understand that I can return this ticket for a full refund, within 30 minutes of purchase, if I do not agree to accept these conditions. I understand that that this ticket is revocable at any time if I do not comply with any applicable term. This ticket is non-transferable."
