Spring is unfurling all around us -- the valley is in full bloom and bright new leaves are creeping higher up the mountain every day. The weather today is perfect. If this were winter, we'd call it a bluebird day. But it's over 60 degrees at Devils Knob and over 70 at Stoney Creek, and this is most definitely not winter. If you've got Spring Fever (and how could you not?), we've got the cure for you right here!
Devils Knob, Virginia's highest course, opens tomorrow, and Stoney Creek is already blooming big time. Redbuds are in all their glory, with dogwoods nearing peak, and crab apples just about ready to pop. Fred Biggers, Golf Course Superintendent Extraordinaire, has done an excellent job getting both courses into shape. There has been a lot to do to get ready - learn all about it in this week's Mountain Minute!
Both Stoney Creek Bar & Grill, and Devils Grill open back up for dinner starting tonight. You know what that means? New menus! Plus al fresco dining, which is doctor-recommended if you've got Spring Fever. Stoney Creek Bar & Grill is also serving drink specials of house-made white sangria and Blue Mountain Brewery's Hopwork Orange. SCB&G also has live music tonight, so come listen to Adrian Duke's blend of Blues, Funk, R&B, and Jazz as you relax on the veranda!
Need to spruce up after the long winter? The spa can help. From manis and pedis to facials and body treatments, you will look and feel better after visiting The Spa.
