Offering spectacular vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Monocan, Shamokin and Tuckahoe "nines" wind their way through the ancient Rockfish Valley and combine to make this a contemporary design classic. Stoney Creek has truly become one of the most beloved tests of golf in the mid-Atlantic. And, as if players were not sufficiently challenged by the elevation changes, contoured greens and the occasional side hill lie, Jones brought the natural elements of the landscape into play: meandering streams, hardwood forests and pristine wetlands. When playing the course for the first time, one should be careful to not be distracted by the stunning scenery or wildlife… it may cost them yet another par.
