Weekend Vibes

Good morning snow lovers. We received about 3 inches of fresh snow yesterday to add to the already amazing conditions. Today we are skiing on a packed powder surface and expect blue skies and temperatures in the low 20s. It is going to be a chilly one, so make sure you bring layers. We have our Ribs & Jibs event going on today and can find out more info and register below. Make sure you stop by Checkerberry Cabin for their delicious barbeque rib special today and wash it down with a hot chocolate or local brew. We are going to have a great day out on the mountain and we hope you are joining us. See you on the slopes!

The Wintergreen Terrain Park will be hosting Ribs & Jibs, a Slopestyle and Rail Jam event, this Saturday. Who: Open to all ages and ability levels What: Slopestyle and Rail Jam Where: Terrain Park and Blue Ridge Terrace When: Saturday January 29th How: Click here to register If you don’t want to compete, we encourage you to come spectate and cheer on the athletes. An awards ceremony will be held on the Blue Ridge Terrace immediately following the Rail Jam event. Awards include bindings, goggles, beanies, sunglasses, and more. Checkerberry Cabin will have a rib special going on all day Saturday. Enjoy house made, slow cooked, barbequed pork ribs. $10 quarter rack, $20 half rack. Slopestyle The SlopeStyle Event starts promptly at 12:30pm with the youngest age brackets going first. Each group will have a total of 3 runs with the best of the 3 runs counting. Each run will cycle through all age groups before the next run. (ie. Once the 8 & Under group has their first run, they will wait until all other age groups have a first run before they move to their second.) Rail Jam The Rail Jam Event will be held directly in front of the Wintergreen Terrace. Check-In / Role Call will begin at 3:00pm. Participants will then have 30 minutes (3:00 to 3:30) for practice runs. This will be a timed event with competitors competing in age brackets based on best run.
