Wintergreen Resort Season Pass

Last year we were skiing and riding for over 100 days -- and now we're almost ready to do it all again! Good news: tentative opening day is November 29!  Better news: Season Passes are valid every day from Opening Day through December 25! For information, please call our Ski Services Office, 9 am-3 pm, 434-325-2100.

Passes are on sale now and may be purchased by phone or online.

Season Pass Benefits

Pass is valid

  • Every night session, including holiday periods (no blackout dates on night skiing/riding, however, please note the slopes are closed on Monday nights, non-holiday)
  • Daily Early Season (Opening Day through December 25) and Late Season; some of our best conditions happen during this time
  • Sunday (after 12:30 pm) through Friday, with exception of holiday periods (Dec 26, 2014–Jan 4, 2015; Jan 17-19, 2015; Feb 14–16, 2015).  Passholders save $15 off the purchase of a lift ticket during times when passes are not valid (not valid with any other discounts)

Terrain Park

  • With passes valid every night, passholders can access the snow for evening terrain park events


  • Passholders can hit the snow at 12:30 pm on non-holiday Sundays and holiday Mondays and get some race gate practice until 2 pm

General Policies

  • All purchases are final and non-transferable. No refunds, credits or substitutions of any kind will be issued if you fail to use or take possession of your season pass.
  • See More
  • Season passes are non-transferable (may not be loaned to anyone). Transfer, or attempt to transfer will result in revocation of the card without refund and is punishable under Virginia theft of service/defrauding an innkeeper laws.
  • You may pick up your season pass at the Ski Services Office during regular pre-season office hours or on your first visit.
  • Rental equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchasing a rental package through the Ski & Ride Season Pass program does not guarantee availability of rental equipment.
  • In the event you forget your pass, you must purchase a full price ticket.
  • If your pass is lost, report the loss immediately to resort management. Your card will be voided and anyone caught using it will be charged with theft of services. A new card will be issued to you for a $25 processing fee.
  • Season pass lift privileges may be denied, revoked or suspended at any time for any reason deemed appropriate by resort management.
  • Any attempt to use lifts without a ticket is considered theft of services/defrauding an innkeeper under Virginia law.
  • The resort accepts no responsibility of lost, stolen or damaged equipment.
  • Prices and programs are subject to change.

Renewing Your Pass

When renewing a pass, you can access information associated to prior passes purchased. Type in your name, find your record and verify information.

You can only assign a single individual at a time. If you wish to purchase multiple passes of the same type, you must purchase that pass multiple times and assign the appropriate individual to that pass.

What's the best thing about 5th and 6th grade? How about three FREE lift tickets at Wintergreen Resort! Designed to encourage all 5th and 6th graders to take the plunge and become skiers or snowboarders, this program makes it easy.

Home School Program

Learning to ski or snowboard can be part of your home school curriculum - or make it a part of your physical fitness program for the winter. As a home schooler, you have the flexibility to take advantage of coming during the week and avoid the weekend crowds. That means shorter lift lines and more runs!

Student Daze

After classes or on your off day, escape to the mountain and spend the day, the afternoon or the night on the slopes.

  • Offered on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday starting 1/6/15
  • Only $49 for lift ticket and equipment rental, or $40 lift ticket only
  • Upgrade to Extended Session ticket for an additional $10
  • Add Group Beginner Lesson for $18 (ages 8 & older)
  • Tubing for just $10 per session
  • Must present your student ID card

Military Discount

20% discount on all standard lift, rental, lessons, Treehouse, and lodging (see details and restrictions).

  • Lifts - Standard Retail products excluding passes and packages (eg. "Discover Skiing & Snowboarding" and other promotions).
  • Rentals - Equipment Rentals including ski/snowboard, helmets, poles. Does not apply to baskets, lockers, etc.
  • Snowsports School - Group lessons (no double discounts if you are on rental equipment).
  • Treehouse - Kids in Action, Ridgely's Rippers, Mountain Explorers (discount only offered for full day programs).
  • Lodging - 20% off Best Available Rate; not available in conjunction with any other discounts.

Must present military ID, one discount per ID.

Discounts apply to active duty, Wounded Warriors, retired active duty as well as National Guard, spouses and dependent children.

Appreciation Days

  • March 9-11, 2015

For residents of Charlottesville, Waynesboro, Staunton, Lynchburg and the counties of Nelson, Albemarle, Augusta, Appomattox and Amherst. If your college is in one of these areas, just bring your Student ID, even if you're from out of state!

  • $49 for lift and rental, any session, $40 for lift ticket only.
  • Upgrade to all-session ticket for an additional $10
  • Add Group Beginner Lesson for $18 (ages 8 & above)
  • Must present valid ID with residency in these areas, or Student ID for a college in these areas
