July 10 to 13 – Wintergreen Junior Tennis Academy – High School Team and Tournament Level Only – Wintergreen Junior Tennis Academy utilizes the proven GreatBase tennis curriculum to help players develop a strong foundation. The GreatBase curriculum was developed by Steve Smith after having studied tennis teaching masters and methodologies for four decades. This academy is geared towards tournament level and ranked players, 14-18 years. Working on technique, doubles play, match play, winning strategies, and mental toughness.

July 27 to 30 – Racquet Wars Tennis Tournament – The 2023 Racquet War Tennis Tournament Series stops here at Wintergreen Resort for three days of doubles action. The Tournament Series uses the Waterfall format, with every team playing two no-ad, eight-game pro sets on Friday in their respective Draw before being placed in a division based on the result of those two contests.

August 5 to 6 – High Performance Pickleball with Scott Moore – Step up your game with intensive training in strategy, technique, skill development, positioning, effective practice, and mental toughness with the winningest senior pro player of all time, Scott Moore. You will improve your mental game, shot making, shot selection, learn new strategies, drills, and a systematic approach to pickleball to help you become a more effective, better player.

All Skills program is designed for junior tennis players of any skill level and background, ages 8 – 14. Campers will learn fundamentals, strategy, and drills to improve their game.

September 2 to 3 – Labor Day Weekend Team Tennis Challenge -This two-day event, given the team structure of the event, players need to play on both days. Teams will compete against each for the WG Independence Weekend Championship. On Saturday, starting at 9:30am at Devils Knob Racquet Sports, each team will play the other 3 teams for one 30 minute set, a total of 90 minutes of play no-ad scoring. On Sunday the top 2 teams will compete for the gold and silver levels in a 3 set match regular scoring, with the third set being a 13 point tie-breaker. Call 434-325-8235 to register.
September 3 – Pickleball 1-day event – 12pm-4pm – at Devils Knob Racquet Sports
Your standard court fee will give you access to the pickleball courts starting at noon through 4pm for round robin shift & split play for those who would like to. While you may if you wish, you are not expected to play for 4 hours, you may come and go as you please.
