Private Lessons
Private lessons are not only a great way to learn to ski or snowboard, but you can revamp your skills and become a better skier or snowboarder. We have daily lessons—plus Early Bird and Parent and Me privates at great rates.
Our Snowsports Office will open in November for booking your private and Treehouse lessons for the 2026-2027 ski season. Please reach out then to reserve your lessons.
One-hour Single-Guest Private Ski Lessons may be booked online for weekends and holidays. Snowboard lessons cannot be purchased online at this time. To book a snowboard lesson, or for longer, multi-guest, or midweek lessons, please call our Snowsports Office at 434-325-8179.

• Age 3: Private lessons are available as 1-hour lessons only.
• Ages 5–7: Children who can stop, turn, and stand up on their own may share a private instructor with one other child under age 8, or participate with an older sibling or family member of a similar ski or snowboard ability level. Maximum participants under age 8: 2 participants.
• Ages 7 & Under: First-time skiers require an individual private instructor.
• Ages 8+: Private lessons may include up to 5 participants.
• Parent-and-Me lessons: Ages 6+. Instructors will teach to the child’s individual learning and developmental level, and the lesson will progress at a pace appropriate for the child. This lesson is designed around the child’s experience and progression and may not be the best fit for parents who wish to progress at their own pace.
Private instruction offers you one-on-one coaching and instruction with one of Wintergreen’s trained instructors many of whom are PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) or AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) certified. Our instructors have the passion to help you learn to love skiing and snowboarding as much as they do. Choose from one or two hour private lesson sessions throughout the day.
Lift ticket and equipment rental is not included in the price of the lesson. Participants are required to have a valid lift ticket.

The safest and most fun way for a family to ski or snowboard together! We’ll pair you up with an instructor who will teach to everyone in the group. This is a great option for families who want to stick together to learn the sport. Instructors will teach to the child’s individual learning and developmental level, and the lesson will progress at a pace appropriate for the child. This lesson is designed around the child’s experience and progression and may not be the best fit for parents who wish to progress at their own pace.
Requirements: Children must be at least 8 years old.

8am*, 9:15am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 1:45pm, 3:00pm, 4:15pm and 5:30pm*
- 4:15pm & 5:30pm lessons are not available when the slopes close at 5pm
- *8am & 5:30pm private lessons are ONLY available during holiday and peak times
- Holiday Periods: December 24-January 3, January 15-18, and February 12-15
- Peak times: Saturdays & Sundays
- Full refunds will be given 48 hours prior to your reservation.
- No refunds will be given within 48 hours of your lesson
