Wintergreen Resort presents its third annual Winter Freestyle Festival Ski and Board Event, Ribs and Jibs. Every year this event becomes bigger and better, competitors and tricks included! We have space for registration and awards, and great sponsors supplying cool prizes and raffle giveaways! As a competitor or spectator, this fun, action packed event is full of exciting moves that will get you inspired for the season ahead.
All Participants will receive a T-Shirt at registration, Special Event Gift at Awards Ceremony, and Raffle Entries!
PRIZES & RAFFLE from Smith Optics, Oakley, Helly Hansen, Quiksilver, Blackstrap, Coca-Cola, and Dakine!
Participants will compete in age brackets for medals, prizes, and bragging rights with (1st-3rd) Medals.
Age Brackets – (By Gender & Discipline) -8 and Under / 9-11 / 12-14 / 15-17 / 18+

9:00am Event Check-In in the Mountain Inn Lower Lobby – Parents are required for Check-In of any participants under 18 years of age. Check-In is required by 11:00am. T-Shirts will be provided to participants at event check-in.
12:30 Noon Rail Jam Event Specifics – The Rail Jam Event starts promptly at 12:30pm with a Mandatory Safety Meeting. The Event will begin immediately following the Safety Meeting with the youngest age brackets going first. Rail Jam primarily focuses on rail features. It’s all about creativity and technical rail riding. This event often follows a jam format. A “jam format” means athletes have a set time, typically around 30 minutes, to showcase their skills. Unlike the Slopestyle Competition, there are no structured runs. Athletes emphasize creativity and style while judges evaluate their performance. It’s spectator-friendly, encourages camaraderie among participants, and allows for experimentation and progression.
Awards Event Specifics – The Awards Event immediately follows the Rail Jam Event at the Wintergreen Terrace. The event will include music, prizes, raffle giveaways and medal ceremony.
