December is still more than a week away and as of 8am this morning, we have already made snow for 111 hours and pumped 26.5 million gallons of water through our guns. NUTS!
So what does 26.5 million gallons of snow look like on the hill?? Looks like a lot more snow than we have ever had for opening day. Historically less than 20 million gallons would be a good opening. 26.5 means having Eagles Swoop, Upper and Lower Dobie, BOTH Cross Trails, a portion of our Terrain Park and Tubing. Everything open will have way more snow than during previous openings, allowing for more base depth, wider trails and a mini park built within the Terrain Park rather than built on Upper Dobie. All very good news! Make plans to be here on Saturday November 29th!
Webcam update: Parts arrived to fix our supper fancy brand new webcam at the Lookout. Parts did not fix the problem….webcam is trash and being replaced. Until we get the new one in, pics are going to be the best we can do.Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Friday, November 21, 2014
