Winter is settling in beautifully at Wintergreen.

Winter is settling in beautifully at Wintergreen. Thanks to a long stretch of cold temperatures and excellent snowmaking conditions, our snowmaking team has been able to build one of the strongest early-season snowpacks we have ever had. The coverage is deep, the surfaces are smooth and the conditions feel more like mid-winter than early December. With the chance for more natural snow in the forecast, the momentum on the mountain just keeps growing.

After a short midweek break, we are excited to reopen tomorrow for skiing and riding from 9 am to 5 pm, along with tubing operations. Guests can look forward to even more terrain, including Terrain Park, Upper Tyro, Tequila and Lower Sunrise. The mountain has expanded significantly since opening weekend, and tomorrow will offer some of the best early-season skiing and riding we have seen in years.

Looking ahead, skiing and snowboarding operations will continue with the following schedule:
Friday, Dec. 12 through Thursday, Dec. 18: Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm
Friday, Dec. 19: Regular operating hours begin and continue through the end of the season

Tubing kicks off this Friday, bringing even more winter fun to the mountain. Opening-weekend sessions are scheduled as follows:
Friday, Dec. 12: 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Saturday, Dec. 13: 9 am to 4:30 pm
Sunday, Dec. 14: 9 am to 4:30 pm

We are also happy to share that The Fuller Experience, Wintergreen’s free Learn to Ski and Learn to Ride program for beginners ages 8 and older, is now open for reservations. This three-lesson program is designed specifically for first-time skiers and riders and includes everything needed to get started. Each two-hour session provides instruction, rental equipment and lift access, with lessons offered across multiple dates beginning in January. Participants reserve their three-lesson series online for $89, and the full amount is refunded after completing all three lessons.

Graduates receive additional benefits, including a $99 Rookie Season Pass valid for the remainder of the current winter, a discounted Rossignol equipment package and eligibility for a $199 season pass for the 2026–27 season. Space is limited and reservations will fill quickly now that booking is open.

With incredible early-season conditions, more terrain coming online and a full lineup of winter activities, there is a lot to look forward to on the mountain.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the slopes tomorrow.
