Lake Monocan Park
Lake Monocan, a 20-acre lake and park is located at Stoney Creek in the valley and is staffed daily with a lifeguard Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting. Snack bar, canoes, kayaks, fishing equipment, standard road bike rentals, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, sandy beach, lounge chairs, picnic area and outdoor charcoal grills are available. Some fees apply; towels not provided.
Lake Monocan is open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.
Members and all registered resort guests have complimentary access to Lake Monocan Park. You will need to present a proper ID or pass for complimentary access. Each guest will be required to get a wristband at the snack bar (located at the dock).

On Saturdays, Lake Monocan is only open to Members, Guests of Members and Wintergreen Resort guests. An access fee cannot be paid for entrance on Saturdays.
Lake Monocan Picnic Areas
Any of six picnic areas can be reserved for a fee, in addition to the Park Access Fee. Each picnic area has an 8 foot long table, charcoal grill and trash can. Half day: 10am - 2 pm or 2 - 6pm. Full day: 10 am - 6 pm.

Lake Monocan Activities
The lake offers rental bikes, canoes, kayaks and paddleboats on an hourly basis. Last rental is available one hour before scheduled closing. There is a paved 2-mile bike and walking trail that follows the lake and the Stoney Creek Golf Course.

Lake Monocan Snack Bar
A full service snack bar offers cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, mini pizzas, candy, novelty ice creams, and smoothies. A small selection of retail items are available.

From I-64 take Exit 107 (Crozet, US-250) Take US-250 West 4.7 miles to VA-151 South, turn left. Follow VA-151 South 11 miles to Monocan Drive - look for the Stoney Creek at Wintergreen sign. Continue on Monocan Drive for 1.9 miles; turn right on Camping Ridge Road (you'll see a sign for Lake Monocan Park). The clubhouse is at the end of Camping Ridge Road.
