Plan Ahead for Summer Fun at Camp Wintergreen

Summer will be here before you know it, and now is the perfect time to plan something meaningful for the kids. Camp Wintergreen offers an engaging mountain experience for children ages 3 to 12, combining outdoor adventure, creativity, and connection in a setting unlike anywhere else.

Campers ages 5–12 participate in the core program, where each day is filled with a variety of activities designed to keep things exciting and fresh. Younger children ages 3–4 can join the Little Campers group, a thoughtfully structured program that includes age-appropriate activities, imaginative play, outdoor time, and a built-in rest period to keep the day balanced and enjoyable.

Leading Camp Wintergreen is Camp Director Pierce Byrd, whose background in early childhood education and experience as a ski instructor help shape a program that is both structured and energetic. Her approach focuses on building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and creating an environment where every child feels supported and excited to participate.

Families have the flexibility to choose between weekly sessions or individual day options, making it easy to fit camp into any summer schedule. From hands-on crafts and nature exploration to group games and outdoor challenges, each day offers something new while helping campers build independence, strengthen social skills, and form lasting friendships.

Set in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Wintergreen provides fresh air, scenic views, and endless opportunities for discovery. Camp begins June 16. Learn more and register online, or contact [email protected] for additional information.
