Black Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend: Women’s Ski Clinics at Wintergreen

Black diamonds are priceless—and even better when you ski them with confidence. This winter, Wintergreen’s Women’s Ski Clinics are designed to help strong intermediate skiers take the next step, build skills, and truly savor the steeper terrain.

These women-only clinics focus on the techniques that matter most when progressing onto black diamond runs. Whether your goal is more control, smoother turns, or simply feeling confident skiing more of the mountain with family and friends, these clinics are all about elevating your skiing in a supportive, fun environment.

Each session blends learning, practice, and experimentation. We’ll start on “lesser terrain” to refine skills, then apply those techniques where it counts—on the Diamonds. With small group sizes, participants receive one-on-one attention and individualized feedback from our expert instructors. Expect encouragement, plenty of practice time, and a crew of new ski “besties” cheering you on along the way.

Clinic Schedule

All clinics run from 9:00am – 11:30am

• January 11, 2026 – Clinic #1: Controlling Your Speed
  Speed management is the number one concern on steeper terrain. This clinic explores turn shape and effective edging to keep everything under control.

• January 25, 2026 – Clinic #2: Managing Different Snow Conditions
  Ungroomed snow, crud, ice—oh my! Learn which techniques work best in varying conditions on steeper terrain.

• February 1, 2026 – Clinic #3: Those Annoying Bumps!
  Once you understand bumps, they become something to look forward to. Explore strategies to survive them—and eventually conquer them.

• February 8, 2026 – Clinic #4: Finding Your Flow
  Put it all together by refining the fundamentals: edging, pressure management, rotary movements, and angulation. Study the trail, the conditions, and the terrain to ski smoothly and confidently.

• February 22, 2026 – Bonus: The Kitchen Sink Clinic
  Bring one challenge you want to improve. We’ll combine everyone’s goals and create a customized plan for the day.

Prerequisites: Participants must be comfortable skiing Blue terrain. Lift tickets and rentals are not included. Advance registration is required, and a minimum of three participants is needed to run each clinic.
